Firooz Abad This town is situated in the south-west of the province and has an area of 11270 sq. km. The ancient name of this town was Gour, and Azododdowleh Dailamite called it Firouzabad.
Tourist sites: Ardashir Babakan Palace or Sassanian Big Fire-temple located in the north of Firouzabad which is one of the magnificent monuments of
Sassanid period. This monument is composed of several roofed platforms and a number of rooms and numerous halls.
Qale Dokhtar: this historical monument is remained from the third
century. This fort is situated on a mount overlooking Firouzabad River, gap and in plain entry.
Other tourist sites Tangab reliefs, Kenarsiah Fire-temple, Fire-temple ruins, Gabri Fort, Ardashir Babakan Palace, Forest Mound, and Picture Gallery, all related to Sassanian era, and Khoyd Mobaraki Minaret (Seljuk), lmamzadeh Ismail Meymand, Meymand rose gardens (in March and April), Tangab Spring. Hot Water Spring, Hanifqan Spring and Tang-e-Kherqeh. |
