33 km southeast of Shiraz at the end of a valley in which Shiraz
is situated, a lake lies at 1460 m above sea level with the 30000 hectare
immensity. The average depth is 0.5 to 3 m and the average salinity is 124%.
This lake is limited by Goshnekan mountains from north (along Bamu Mountain) and
by Maharloo mountains from south. This lake is an excellent ecosystem fed by the
surrounding springs and streams. Being adjacent to Shiraz, this region is
appropriate to spend some hours of relaxation.
